Ashtabula Wine And Walleye Festival
Festival organizers say this year the festival will be huge. Eight local Ashtabula County wineries will participate in the event. The wineries are Emerine Estates, Ferrante Winery & Restorante, Harpersfield Vineyard, The Lakehouse Inn & Winery, Laurello Vineyards, Markko Vineyard, Old Mill Winery, and The Winery at Spring Hill.
The Ashtabula Foundation will sponsor the Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday at 9:15PM. Prizes will be awarded to the different entry classes with the $300 grand prize going to the best of the parade. This years theme is “AMERICANA”
Great Lakes Auto Group will sponsor the 2nd annual car show on Friday night. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 entries.
A Pro-Am Walleye fishing tournament will be held on Saturday, August 24th starting at 6:15AM. In past years as many as 150 boats entered the tournament, and organizers say this year should draw many more fishermen. Prizes will be awarded for the top three professional anglers and the top three amateur fisherman. The fishing tournament is sponsored by AQUA Ohio.
First Merit Bank will sponsor a 5K road race and a 1/4 mile “Guppy Run” for children under 10 years of age.
Many vendors will be setup on the streets and the regular stores will also be open.
